Term 1

It has been an absolutely wonderful start to the year this first term. Settling in, forming routines, and finding out all the things that we can do to have fun. We have explored our environment and enjoyed making friends and getting to know our adults.

We have enjoyed looking for the signs of Autumn. We have been sizing leaves, painting with conkers, spotting spider webs, and colour sorting. We loved making and tasting pumpkin soup. To celebrate Harvest we made bread rolls and tasted the school Harvest loaf. We also enjoyed singing along to lots of new songs and learning actions and Makaton signs for ‘bread and butter’, ‘Dingle, Dangle Scarecrow’ and our poem ‘Falling Leaves’. It was truly a great start to Nursery.
