Term 1 
In Year 4, we have been exploring the question ‘What are the climate zones and how do they impact on their inhabitants?’ In literacy, we have read the story ‘Hodgeheg’ by D. King Smith. We then explored the book ‘The Whale’ and learned many new writing skills. 

In maths, we enjoyed exploring place value up to 10,000 including the formal methods of addition and subtraction. In the wider curriculum, we have been learning about the different climate zones; thinking about how life is different for the people who live there. In DT, we have designed and made money containers. Finally, in PE, we have been enjoying swimming and yoga!
